Analyst. Apparently, the University of Montreal Dream and Nightmare Laboratory has deciphered some of the most common dreams. Shout out to The Deccan Chronicle for posting the information. According to publication, having a dream about doing the dirty with your boss is not.. nearly as dirty as you’d think. In fact, it apparently means that you’re manifesting a deeply hidden power from within.
Power. According The Deccan Chronicle, “In a dream, a boss represents the power to make decisions.” So no, you’re not actually banging your boss. You’re banging power? No! It’s not that literal. You boss or something who manages you appearing in a sexual dream can be interpreted as you “becoming increasingly aware of your own power and ability to choose what you want in your life.”
Ex. Having sex with your hated ex in a dream does not mean that you’re secretly harboring feelings for them. That you want to get back together with them. It actually is your brain’s way of saying, psshh we are not trying to make that mistake again. The publication explains, “It serves as a reminder to let go of old behavior that no longer benefit you, according to Marie Claire.”
Coworker. Have dreams about your sexy coworker? Yeah, you might just want to bang them. But what if the sex dream is with a platonic friend of coworker who you aren’t even attracted to? What then? It’s actually somewhat of a piece of motivation your subconscious is trying to give to you. It means that you admire that person, and something particular about them.
Friend. The Deccan Chronicle reports, “A friend or colleague tends to symbolize a talent that you appreciate and aspire to possess yourself. For example, if your friend is charming then this means that you are becoming more comfortable and impressive in social situations.”
Gay sex. Ever have dreams where you’re getting pretty damn sexual with someone of the same sex? No, big deal. Even if you’re straight. The Deccan Chronicle reports, “Getting intimate with a member of the same sex (if you are heterosexual) stands for a union with different positive aspects of yourself like self-acceptance and compassion.” That not enough for you? According The Deccan Chronicle, “On the other hand, if you are uncomfortable with homosexuality in your dream then this could mean that you have some fears or insecurities regarding your relations with the opposite sex, according to Bustle.” Bustle continues, “Most often, girl-on-girl or guy-on-guy dreams are really about the quality of the gender your dream partner possesses.”
